Part of understanding the road to health and wellness is recognizing our connection to our food sources and the earth. Sustainable Living Classes, taking place at Symbiosis Ranch, a biodynamic farm just outside of Mount Pleasant, offers training in food preservation, biodynamic farming and gardening, raising livestock, and more.
Half day, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. cost $40; Full day, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. cost $75. Registration is required by calling (989) 773-3636.
Always wear old clothes suited to work, shoes for mud, skin coverage for sun and insects, a good pair of gloves even on kitchen days, and a healthy sack lunch.
